SoloBackOffice

A back-office guide for one-person businesses

SoloBackOffice makes plain how-to material for people who run a service business alone: cleaners, landscapers, handymen and detailers. The main product is a PDF guide to the back-office jobs. The follow-up tracker is free.

What we make

The One-Person Back Office is a PDF guide to the jobs that sit behind every booking: answering inquiries, quoting, following up, scheduling, getting paid and keeping records.

The free follow-up tracker is an Excel file that flags every inquiry waiting on you. There are also free guides on following up on a quote, pricing a job and what to do after you win one.

Who it's for

People who do the work themselves and run the paperwork on a phone and a spreadsheet: house cleaners, landscapers, handymen, detailers and pressure washers. You're good at the job. The paperwork is what piles up.

What the guide gives you

  • A $0 setup for each back-office job, built from things you already have
  • A checklist to tick for each job
  • Prompts you can paste into an AI assistant
  • A 30-day setup plan, templates and a page of tool costs

What we won't do

  • Use affiliate links
  • Promise you income
  • Hide a sponsor: sponsored content is labeled as sponsored

Questions

Will you sell things?

A PDF guide, "The One-Person Back Office", goes on sale November 2. Launch price $49.99 for the first 50 copies. Then $99.99. The tracker stays free.

Are the examples from real customers' jobs?

No. The examples use made-up sample jobs, so no customer's details appear. The tracker comes with 14 made-up inquiries.

Is the tracker really free?

Yes. The download needs no email, no account and no payment, and there is no subscription. It's made for Microsoft Excel.

Do you take sponsorships?

Not yet. If that changes, anything sponsored will be labeled as sponsored, and a sponsor won't get to change what we write.
